Dr. Barry is a lecturer at the Department of Mathematics at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. She received her PhD in Mathematics from Boston University, Boston, Massachusetts USA, focusing on Vortex crystals in fluids.
After that, she worked as an IMA Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minnesota USA. Before moving to Auckland, she continued her activity as a NSF Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, British Columbia Canada.
